According to a 2014 studyTrusted Source, both pumpkin seed oil and a combination of pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto oil may improve benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms. Researchers concluded that pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto oil are safe and effective alternative treatments for BPH.

An earlier study found that pumpkin seed oil could block certain types of prostate growth. The study looked at rats induced with testosterone and the alpha-blocker drug Prazosin. Testosterone is thought to play a role in the development of BPH, although it’s not completely clear why.

One theory is that dihydrotestosterone, a powerful metabolite of testosterone, builds up in the prostate and causes it to grow. The phytochemicals in pumpkin seeds may reduce the effects of dihydrotestosterone on the prostate. They may also block the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone.

Zinc is critical to normal prostate function. In fact, a normal prostate has the highest levels of zinc in the body. Results of a 2011 studyTrusted Source showed that malignant prostate tissue and prostate tissue from men with BPH had significantly less zinc than normal prostate tissue. The study also found an increase in urinary zinc excretion.

PSA DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY

  6 months ago my PSA was 5.1 and I was getting up several times per night to visit the throne.
  My urologist told me he could no longer prescribe CIPRO because I had been given too many
  prescripts of the stuff over a year's time.  I was desperate.  I prayed and asked the God to help
  me, and, eventually, in due time, I discovered a YOUTUBE clip for PROSTATE OIL.  Within two weeks
  of taking the stuff I could feel a miraculous change going on down there.  Week before last my
  latest PSA came in at 3.5 and I no longer have to make multiple-twilight visits to relieve myself.  I am

    My husband is so happy with this oil , he can urinate now with no pain and most nights he sleeps all night without getting up at all .

    I ordered this product for my husband, he has taken his first bottle and is just ecstatic about the results he has seen already. He only gets up once at night now, versus 4-5 times per night. He says he has no more pain or burning and it is much easier to urinate now . He loves it !

    I ordered this product for my husband to try . He was getting up 3 to 5 times per night to go to bathroom, last night he only got up once . He says it is working, but with our fixed income I don't know how long we can afford it. As long as he wants to keep taking it I will strive to have enough time to order it . Thanks

    Omg My brother-in-law told me about this oil was reluctant to try it but I did I cannot say enough wonderful things about this oil every man that gets up multiple times needs to try this..I went from getting up five and six times a night for the bathroom to once or maybe twice at the most

    This Prostate Oil work wonders,I've had prostate issues for a few years,waking up to urinate, and now on my second bottle of Prostate Oil. I'm sleeping so much better, usually don't get up even once. Dramatic, better results from any other prostate products I've taken, even other Saw Palmentto/Pumpkin Seed products Thank you

    I have tried other Saw Palmento/Pumpkin Seed oils with minimum results, as I have an issue with an enlarged prostate. This prostate oil works wonders, after one bottle,(two weeks), I am sleeping a lot better and no trips to the bathroom during the night. So glad I found this oil. Thank you

    I'm still getting up at night, but I basically don't sleep well to begin with. I have tried other pumpkin seed oil, and this stuff is definitely better. I have a very enlarged prostate, and taking the oil seems to be reducing the swelling. Prostate feels much better!

    I have only been using this product a few days and it has reduced my bathroom trips in half, which is great, more sheep time. The only thing that causes me problems with this product is the cost. At $37.95 then with shipping cost it comes up to over 40 dollars, which is a hefty price. Although I think this product is good I really can’t afford using it on a regular basis.
